It is important to be able to tell the difference between general forgetfulness and dementia, especially if you or a loved one is having difficulty with memory loss. Paula graduated from The University of Toledo with a degree in Medical Assisting and has been working in healthcare in Toledo for over 25 years. Paula and her husband Clayton own Arista Home Care Solutions providing in-home care for the elderly and disabled in Monroe, Lucas, and Wood County.

Join CAG with Beth Miller of Hospice of Northwest Ohio to focus on how to appoint a surrogate decision maker to make medical decisions if you are ever in a situation where you cannot communicate your own wishes. Beth will focus on how to facilitate conversations with surrogates about what type of care is desired if a severe permanent brain injury should occur. She will also discuss how to put wishes in writing in the form of a Power of Attorney for Healthcare and Living Will. This brunch and learn will be held at the Citizen Advisory Group office.
