Citizen Advisory Group was founded with one overlying principal; Independence. Citizen Advisory Group Team Members are completely independent of any product manufacturer. We have no proprietary products or sales quotas. This allows our associates to assist their clients in a completely unbiased and independent environment. Our goal is to provide our clients with the finest advice and guidance possible. We consistently strive to be one of the greatest independent financial service firms in the country.

Being an independent firm, CAG can utilize the entire universe of investment and insurance choices for our clients. This truly puts our Team Members in the role of “advisor” and not as a “salesperson.”

Our Fiduciary Oath Makes Us Different

Based on state laws, when a professional acts as a fiduciary for the client they are held to a higher ethical standard and MUCH higher disclosure standard than sales people working for their company. Fiduciary responsibility exceeds that which is normally required of ordinary business relationships because the fiduciary is in a position of trust. The fiduciary MUST act for the benefit of the client, and place the interest of the client above their own.

The vast majority of financial professionals take an oath to represent their company, not you!

Example: An article in the Wall Street Journal Saturday, May 15, 2010 stated that a professional is legally free to recommend an investment that pays him, and his firm more, than a similar lower cost investment. They can do this because the professional has not taken a fiduciary oath to represent the client.
